Ashokan hosts seasonal programs for homeschool students and their families. Ashokan Homeschool Days occur two Fridays each month offering a selection of our outdoor education, living history, and adventure educational programming mixed with specially themed sessions incorporating music, movement, and the arts.

Ashokan Homeschool Days are pre-register events. Ashokan staff will typically put together the program and schedule in advance. However, homeschool groups are encouraged to suggest activities and themes to be covered, and even schedule the day according to their desires.

Time: A standard day is 11am to 4pm

Cost: $20/child. $15 for each additional sibling. Adults are free with the exception of craft materials fee (if they decide to make a craft for themselves in addition to their child's). DISCOUNT: Register for 3 dates or more--$15/student, $12/sibling per date.

Lunches: Participants must bring their own lunches

Ages: Activities are geared towards all ages. Groups will consist of a mixture of age levels

Chaperones: Students MUST be accompanied by a parent or chaperone--adults are encouraged to take part in the activities with the children. Students may not be dropped off for the day without supervision. We can put you in contact with other registered attendees if you would like to assign a chaperone to your student.
